Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of PayPause. By using PayPause, you agree to them.
Last updated: 30 June 2026
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
1. What PayPause does
PayPause helps users record spending intent, track expenses, set simple category budgets, and open third-party UPI apps for payments. It is designed as a spending-awareness tool.
PayPause is not a payment service. It does not process payments, transfer funds, hold wallet balances, issue loans, provide banking services, or guarantee completion of any UPI transaction.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for checking all payment details before confirming a payment in your UPI app. PayPause may pre-fill or pass payment-related information to another app, but the final payment action happens outside PayPause.
3. Account and guest use
You may use PayPause by signing in or as a guest where available. Guest data may remain only on your device and may be lost if the app is deleted or app storage is cleared. Logged-in users may have data synchronised to the PayPause backend.
4. Accuracy of information
You are responsible for the amounts, categories, notes, budgets, and other information you enter. PayPause does not verify whether an expense was actually paid unless explicitly supported by future functionality.
5. No financial advice
Spending summaries, budget warnings, and insights are provided for informational and habit-building purposes only. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
6. Third-party services
PayPause may integrate with or open third-party apps and services, including UPI apps and authentication services. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with app security, reverse engineer the app where prohibited, or use PayPause for illegal or harmful activity.
8. Availability and changes
PayPause is an early-stage product and may change over time. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PayPause and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for payment errors, failed UPI transactions, incorrect user-entered information, data loss, or third-party service issues.
10. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data from within the app or through the Account and Data Deletion page.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
